Open Studios Weekend

Every August, South Australian artists open their studios to the public as part of the SALA Festival. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet local artists and see how they work, whether they are part of a group studio or working from a home-studio. While many studios are open longer, most will coincide with the Open Studios Weekend.
This year’s Open Studios Weekend takes place on 10 & 11 August 2024.
Check out the SALA Program to find out which studios are open near you. Download the free SALA App (App Store, Google Play) and you can ‘favourite’ the ones you want to visit.
Register your studio in SALA Festival
SALA Festival is all about celebrating SA visual artists and giving audiences insight into their inner worlds, so it only makes sense that we have a dedicated weekend for visiting the places where the magic happens – in the studio!
The 2024 Open Studios Weekend will be Saturday 10 & Sunday 11 August.
So if you’re thinking about registering your group, home, or pop-up studio in the festival, try to align with the open studios weekend!
