Artist Statement My work explores nostalgia, storytelling and the emotional texture of everyday life through playful, layered imagery. Working across acrylic, watercolour, collage and digital illustration, I often use a reverse acrylic technique—building detailed elements first before layering colour behind them to create depth and unexpected visual moments.
Influenced by retro aesthetics and kitsch visual culture, my pieces draw on familiar objects, pop culture references and fragments of memory. These elements combine to create scenes that feel both personal and universally recognisable.
With a background in art therapy, visual arts and community work, I aim to create art that is approachable, warm and relatable—inviting viewers to pause, reminisce and reconnect with the small, joyful details of everyday life.
