Adele Justice
I am an emerging artist gaining momentum, with shortlisted selections in several juried prizes including the Kennedy Art Prize, the RSASA Portrait Prize, Smallacombe Self Portrait Prize and the West Torrens Art Prize. My paintings can appear so real that viewers mistake them for photographs, until a closer look reveals layers and brushstrokes. Having spent my formative years living between Australia and New Zealand, my artwork examines what connects us, comforts us and embodies the feeling of home. Whether the genre is portraiture, still-life or skyscape I aim for a vibrancy of colour so the work appears lit from within. Currently living and working on Kaurna Country, Gawler, I am also an experienced educator and sought after workshop facilitator. I am open to a solo or group show opportunity for SALA 2026.
