Zanne Brown is a South Australian artist originally from Montreal, Canada, now based in the Barossa Valley. A self-taught acrylic painter, she began working seriously about five years ago after moving into her Lyndoch cottage, initially painting to fill her own space. A local opportunity led to early sales, and her practice has since developed into a sustained career with work held in private collections across Australia and included in multiple exhibitions.

Her practice is evolving, with current series including Funky Flowers and Barossa Babes, alongside ongoing exploration of abstraction and portraiture. Her work is defined by bold colour, humour, and expressive form, influenced by Matisse, Picasso, folk traditions, and a feminist pop sensibility, with a strong emphasis on spontaneity and character.
