Karen Greenhalgh
Walking in nature with camera in hand is when I relax and rejuvenate my body, mind and soul. The images I take are a response to the landscape as a moment in time and the fleeting confluence of elements - sun, sky and water. As a multi-disciplinary artist, I like to think of photography as drawing with light and I try to capture that feeling of being immersed in the environment. It is in the final print that I hope to distill this experience of being connected with nature and its beauty, colour and life-giving breath.
In the last year with the pandemic disruptions, I took the opportunity to re-focus on what I enjoy doing and making art fulltime. For SALA I would like to exhibit a series of photographs of the coast and hills around Adelaide. The selected images can be printed and framed ready to hang to suit your venue. I am happy to exhibit solo or as part of a group show.
