Let your senses be stimulated by stepping into the warmth of RSASA Gallery, Australia's oldest art society established in 1856. Currently hosting contemporary eclectic artworks expressed in variety of styles and techniques. This includes the Includes Margarita Stipnieks Prize for Mixed media, acrylic and oils $500. Five artists will demonstrate their skills and interact with visitors in the RSASA Gallery for the duration of SALA, please see SALA program for details.

Artist Demonstration Bromoil photographic printing. 11 Aug 10:30am - Free Event - Artist Paul Johnson will demonstrate part of the process of Bromoil photographic printing (which was introduced in 1907 and became a preferred tool of Australian Pictorialist photographers into the 1950s). He will show how applying oil-based inks to the matrix with brushes make the image re-appear. RSASA Gallery 11 Aug 25, 10.30am to 3pm. All Welcome.
Other Saturday drawing at RSASA. 02 Aug 01:00pm - Saturday August 2, 9, 16, 23, or 30 from 12.00noon to 3.00pm. If you want to participate in drawing or painting the clad model then please contact Sandra, skearlerusso@gmail or 0405 139 377. However if you just want to watch people drawing then please come between 1 pm to 3.00pm. to the RSASA Gallery at no charge, all are welcome.
Artist Demonstration Large Scale Drawing in Action. 08 Aug 12:00am - Free Event - Graham Dunstan will be drawing/demonstrations in the RSASA gallery on Thursdays 7th,14th, 21st, and the 25th of August between 12.00 and 3.00 pm. All are welcome, to interact with the artist about the process and any other questions relating to the artwork.
Artist Demonstration Light and Shade in Watercolour Painting. 24 Aug 01:00pm - Free Event - All Welcome Artist Rubayat Sarwar will demonstrate painting with water colour in the RSASA Gallery on the 24 and 31 August. 1pm to 3pm.
Workshop Painting class for kids at RSASA supported by Malcolm Carbins Trust– co-ordinated by Rachel Scholich. 17 Aug 11:30pm - Artist Rachel Scholich proposes to conduct a series of still life art lessons for children ages 5-12, teaching them how to create a still life painting of a vase or fruit bowl, using acrylics on canvas. This engaging and interactive experience will be held at RSASA as part of the SALA Festival 2025 on 17th of August 2025
