Iwiringuru kunpu ngaraku – From strong roots we stand strong
Iwiri Arts | Open Studio & Exhibition | SALA 2025
Iwiri Aboriginal Corporation and its Art Centre is a supportive workplace created, owned, and run by Aṉangu, based in Yartapuulti/Port Adelaide. For SALA 2025, Iwiṟi Art Centre offers a rare and special opportunity as it opens its doors to the public.
Alongside the open studio, Iwiṟi will present an in-house exhibition and a vibrant pop-up gallery shop, showcasing a powerful collection of paintings and ceramics created by artists from the Aṉangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands.
Throughout SALA 2025, Iwiṟi will bring together and celebrate its diverse and vibrant culture of community, connection, and relationship to Country. The exhibition will highlight rich storytelling traditions carried across generations, now shared through contemporary voices. Visitors can expect dynamic works by young and emerging artists, as well as established, senior Anangu artists, offering an insight into the cultural roots and creative expression of desert artists living on Kaurna/Adelaide.
