This year marks the 250th anniversary of the birth of Jane Austen. To celebrate this occasion this exhibition explores beyond the romance of her novels into the social issues, power dynamics, personalities and fractured stereotypes. Some of the issue explored are; inheritance, marriage as a social contract, narcism, knowledge and power, education for women and stoicism. This exhibition also answers the question as to who was the real knight in shining armour in her novels?
