For the People on Kaurna is a free, accessible public art exhibition that will be showing in the heart of Adelaide, between the Art Gallery and the University campuses. Led by Melak Khaleel and in collaboration with disabled and underrepresented local artists, the exhibition brings art directly to the people by removing financial and institutional barriers. Over the month, artists will create and display new works exploring accessibility, identity, and community struggles. The exhibition invites public participation, encouraging conversations, sketches, and messages of hope. This vibrant, inclusive space aims to highlight lived experiences, provoke thought, and imagine a more equitable and culturally rich future for all.
