Jean and John are returning to exhibit at Joy of Flora Cafe this year for SALA.

John's avid interest in art has been a lifelong passion. Painting beautiful birds is an on-going interest; poultry is a favourite subject and chickens in particular give him much joy to paint. John is a member of the Royal South Australian Society of Art. He has won many awards for his paintings, including being a finalist in the 2013 Gallipoli Art Prize.

The inspiration for Jean's work comes from the natural environment. The relationship of humans and their impact on the natural world is a recurring theme, particularly with issues related to population growth and diminishing habitat for flora and fauna species. Jean completed a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts in 1988 with photography and printmaking as major study areas. She has extensive experience in various art forms and works in a variety of media.
