Originally from South Australia, Kate established herself as a visual artist during her eight years living in Birmingham (‘Brum’), England and trades as ‘The Crafty Brum’. She has been a practicing artist back home in South Australia for the past two years. During this time Kate has been re-exploring her connection with nature, what it means to be an artist in Australia and her love of native botanicals.

Our surroundings underpin all of Kate’s work, she often loves combining architecture and nature, celebrating their stark contrasts. Her work is forever developing from illustrative work, lino printing, collage, watercolour and now acrylic medium.

Kate’s exhibition will explore Australian native flora that presents during our Spring and Summer seasons and aims to be her largest body of acrylic pieces exhibited to date.
