Jean and John are pleased to be exhibiting together again at Joy of Flora Café.

The exhibition includes current works in painting and mixed media.

Jean’s interest in Keystone species began with research into the declining numbers of the Asian elephant, a species of megafauna, in relation to the Global demand for tea.

In this exhibition, Jean’s works in mixed media explore some of South Australia’s lesser known and remarkable Keystone species in the macrofauna sphere, essential for maintaining the health, structure and biodiversity of their ecosystems. The removal of these key species can trigger a collapse of their local ecosystem. They can have an equally devastating impact on the species which are reliant on them as the removal of the megafauna within their ecosystem.

John’s interest in automobiles began, initially, with exploring the iconic VW beetle, after owning one. The distinctive ‘bug’ shape is the largest-running and most produced car platform in history. It symbolizes the 1960’s with Disney’s “Herbie” as The Love Bug. John has also included some old Holden utes.
