In this exhibition, Year 6 students investigate the intersections of identity, place, and materiality. Through collaborative radial batiks, students offer a contemporary response to the local flora of the Pedare Christian College grounds, honoring the rich artistic traditions of the Ernabella artists. Complementing these collective pieces are personal weaving; mindful explorations of interlaced fibers that map individual stories of belonging and connection to land. Completing this landscape are structural cardboard fauna, which utilise formal visual conventions to transform humble materials into local birdlife. Together, these works celebrate the threads that bind our community to the environment we inhabit.
