"Wow, that's unexpected" - is so often what we hear as visitors enter the Hall in our small village. The scale, quality and diversity of the exhibition each year has always surprised and impressed all who see it.
This year the Springton exhibition includes twenty local (and near local) artists, with a broad span of experience, inspiration, style and medium. Painting, drawing, timber, glass and metal work, mosaic, textiles, jewellery, ceramics - and more - will be exhibited and on sale. Each day of the exhibition at least one or two of the artists will be at the Hall, demonstrating their practice, or talking about their work.
The exhibition is open each weekend, however we welcome groups to come through at any time during the week. Please contact us to talk about when your group would like to come.
Springton is about an hour's drive from Adelaide, at the very southern end of the Barossa in the beautiful Eden Valley. Come and explore our little part of the world, with a fantastic General Store and Innana's Cafe for lunch or snacks, the Springton Hotel if you are in need of refreshment, and the very welcoming (and extremely dog friendly) cellar door - Edenmae (a wonderful long time sponsor of our SALA exhibitions).
The artists' exhibition works will be for sale and all of the artists will also have smaller works available for purchase in the 'Artists' gift shop' at the exhibition, including prints, small works, scarves, bags, pottery and cards. Or buy a raffle ticket, or three, and be in the draw to win one of the pieces donated by each of the exhibiting artists. Proceeds from the raffle go to make sure we can stage SALA again next year.
Entry to the exhibition is free, and cash or card facilities are available for any of your purchases.
