Open Studio with demonstrations, Q & A, stone sculpting workshop bookings.
SA Stone Sculptors Association artists will be working on sculptures as diverse and unique as they each are, demonstrating a variety of techniques used in shaping and polishing stone. Feel free to ask questions and get up close to see and feel sculptures in progress. Silvio Apponyi's studio is a wonderland of decades of extraordinary creative output, in stone, bronze, printmaking and more. Be prepared, you may be asked to help with some processes too! If keen to get even more hands-on, introductory workshops in soft limestone sculpting using hand tools, and marble and granite sculpting using power and air tools are being offered.
