Three rurally based artists, with varying degrees of physical, emotional and intellectual impediments, sharing their take on what we are doing to the environment, specifically our fauna and flora, through our relentless purchases of pointless plastic products, in an effort to cure our dopamine deficit- a deficit created, in part, by the often unspoken realisation that the cure is actually a major part of the problem of our dying planet. Glynn McKenzie's drawings and paintings of his imagined animals, Joshua William's paintings, sculptures, interactive works, and performance, and Lymn's fashion/art creations, photography, sculpture, furniture and drawings, all serve to remind us of what we are in very real danger of losing, and to reinforce the idea that buying new stuff isn't the answer, and that we should always be reusing, recycling, upcycling. Can we save the human race by getting off the capitalist conga line of conspicuous consumption, or do we just give up and give in, knowing that whatever we do, whatever we say, the super wealthy don't give a shit about the crumbling ecosystems of the planet, cos they just want more of our money, and they are getting more and more information on how to get it from us.
