Lynn CHAMBERLAIN
Exhibition
Enjoy this celebration of land and seascapes in the artist's characteristic colourful and vibrant style.
Lynn works from Tinjella Studio at her home in Willunga where her rammed earth home lends itself beautifully as a gallery. She has exhibited her impressionist style paintings with success across the Fleurieu & in the Flinders Ranges. Many of her works are now overseas or interstate. In 2016 Lynn mounted her first successful SALA exhibition and she has exhibited in SALA each year.
This year Lynn is excited to be exhibiting during SALA at Kay Brothers Winery in McLaren Vale. For most of her life she has lived within “coo-ee” of vineyards another source of painting delight. There are especially stunning views from the deck of Kays & it may just be that Lynn has captured that magic.
Lynn works across many mediums including pastels, oils, acrylics and water colour. Lynn has developed a loose, expressive style and particularly loves bold, bright colour. Many works are begun ‘en plein air’ then completed in her studio to evoke atmosphere and a sense of place.
Lynn has joined a group of fellow artists who travel to the far northern Flinders Ranges to Arkaroola. She says “Arkaroola is the Flinders on steroids!”. The sweeping majesty & long, long views of distant peaks are breathtaking and inspiring to artists. As a resident of the Fleurieu there is also no escaping the “jewel seas” that surround this wonderful peninsula & these are another of Lynn’s favourite painting subjects.
