Angela Valamanesh’s work represents a fascination with the diversity of all life forms, their similarities and differences, combined with the intuitive knowledge that as human beings we are all connected: that we are embedded within a web of life.

Angela graduated from the SA School of Art and was awarded her MA (Visual Arts) from the University of South Australia in 1993. In 1996 she won an Anne & Gordon Samstag International Visual Arts Scholarship, spent on a Postgraduate Program at the Glasgow School of Art, Scotland, UK. In 1997 she was awarded a Diploma in Design (Ceramics), South Australian School of Art, Adelaide.

Angela has exhibited extensively and widely and is represented in numerous Australian and international collections. Recent exhibitions include 2022 Adelaide Biennial of Australian Art: Free/State, Art Gallery of South Australia; Echigo-Tsumari Triennale, Guardian at Australia House and Icon exhibition, About being here, Jam Factory Gallery touring exhibition.

Angela Valamanesh is a finalist in The Advertiser Contemporary Art Award 2023. See the work in the finalist exhibition at Keith Murdoch House.
