Southern Cross Care's Community Foundation supports people in residential care and in the community to engage in art and exhibit in SALA. This year our community is creating flags that will connect artists with their culture, background, interest, and personality.
Art not only encourages creativity for the older people we support, it is an important way for them to express themselves and engage in a meaningful activity, enhancing their well-being.
The artworks that are done as a part of SALA workshops will be combined in a central exhibition to celebrate the true colours of the artists. Friends, family, and the broader community are invited to visit the exhibition to see the contributions of our residents and clients.
