A daydream is like a coffee break for your mind. At a cosy cafe in the inner-Eastern suburbs, a group of young creatives explore the things that punctuate the everyday and hold space for ambition, pleasure, adventure and peace.

When I thought about putting on this exhibition I wanted it to be relaxing for the artists and the viewers. I want it to be like you're taking a little time for yourself to be creative or leaving the house to go to a friendly local coffee shop for a nice sandwich and coffee. I love the idea of daydreams being trips to the little oases of our minds. That special snapshot of our pets being cute or listening to a snippet of a song that bring us joy that we visit when we need a pick me up. I think coffee shops offer a similar pleasant escapism that helps many of us get through hard days and I thought this would be a great excuse to see what other people's oases looked like and share what brings each of us a little joy. This joy will be brought to you by a variety of artists that make art in a variety of media such as painting, illustration, photography and more. We hope you come along for a nice break and some even better food!
