NATURE - A SALA roving exhibition

Exhibition details coming soon.

A curated exhibition featuring the work of four artists who are inspired by the natural world. In partnership with ILA.

Four contemporary artists, working across printmaking, moving image, painting, ceramics and textiles, draw our attention to the natural world. They celebrate moments of connection to the creatures, plants and landscapes we see every day.

JORJI GARDENER

Jorji Gardener lives on Peramangk land, in the Adelaide Hills. With a background in horticulture and botany, as well as a life-long love of the natural world it is no surprise that her art practice revolves around the natural environment. Working in printmaking, drawing, and installation her work focuses on natural history, flora, and fauna. Jorji says of her art practice: Our environmental situation is precarious, and my intention is for my artwork to facilitate further understanding and appreciation of the beauty and importance of biodiversity and ecology. I draw on my background in botany, as well as my love of natural history, all of which I weave into my work. My work seeks to entangle the viewer into an immersive experience, as a way to remind us of our intrinsic connection with nature.
