South Australia’s third largest credit union has signed a two-year sponsorship deal with the SALA Festival. Under the partnership, Credit Union SA will be the Education Partner for SALA Festival 2018 and 2019.

South Australia’s third largest credit union has signed a two-year sponsorship deal with the South Australian Living Artists (SALA) Festival. Under the partnership, Credit Union SA will be the Education Partner for SALA Festival 2018 and 2019.

The new partnership aims to encourage South Australian schools to participate in the annual SALA Festival in August with a range of school art prizes on offer.

Credit Union SA CEO Mr Grant Strawbridge said we are extremely pleased and excited to be part of such a significant South Australian event.

Credit Union SA will present art prizes for best primary school exhibition, best secondary school exhibition as well runners-up in both categories. Schools registered for SALA Festival 2018 will automatically qualify for the awards. The partnership builds on our strong relationship with the SACE art show and nearly 60 years of commitment to the education community in South Australia,” Mr Strawbridge said.

SALA Festival CEO Ms Penny Griggs said in addition to the awards we are exploring innovative ways for schools to connect with artists and navigate the vast SALA Festival program with a range of schools trails and experiences available during August.

We are looking forward to working with Credit Union SA and strengthening our connection with local schools, teachers and students. SALA Festival was established to develop audiences and create opportunities for artists and the partnership with Credit Union SA will ensure young artists and audiences are valued and acknowledged during the state wide celebration of South Australian visual art.” says Ms Griggs.

In the meantime, South Australian Schools are invited to participate in the upcoming SALA (South Australian Living Artists) Festival this August. It is a wonderful way for schools to engage with the broader community and be part of a much loved state-wide event.

Registrations to participate in SALA Festival 2018 close Monday 14 May for more information about participating in SALA Festival go to salafestival.com.
