Artist Statement Tessa (Marie) Bartholomew is a self taught abstract landscape artist and muralist, based in the Adelaide foot hills. She is heavily inspired by nature and her surroundings and loves exploring unexpected colour pallets that contrast and bring new life to a composition. She holds a Bachelor of Visual Communication and Diploma of Visual Merchandising, working in the 3D design world for many years designing custom tradeshow stands for large corporate companies, helping them display their products and bring their brand vision to life.
Tessa has always painted, however in 2022 Tessa decided to spend more time pursuing her love of painting and giving it the energy it deserves. Tessa's work was chosen by The City of Adelaide to be part of the Vacant Tenancy Revitalisation Project and can be seen on Twin Street and Hindley street in Adelaide CBD. She was also selected as a 2024 finalist in the Art to Art Unearthed Art Prize in Victoria and looks to pursue more Art prizes in the future. She currently sells her work through her own website, Galley M and Bluethumb Gallery.
