Artist Statement Beiha-Malen Yáñez is an Adelaide-based abstract artist, who primarily works in watercolour, ink and pen. Her work has strong biomorphic elements and reflects her love for nature and relationship with her personal identity. She is fascinated by the diverse shapes and forms present in the natural world, especially native Australian flora, and also enjoys exploring how colour and tone can reflect her current state of mind. Beiha also plays the piano and composes music. Together, her visual arts and music practice is titled 'black rose creative'
