Artist Statement Erica Li’s body of work explores the relationships between the natural and nurtured elements we can see, feel, or imagine in our daily life. It visually contemplating the fundamental nature of reality, with a passionate, minimalistic touch.
Drawn on her understanding of compassion, interconnectedness of the mind, body and environment, and infectiousness of human emotions, her oeuvre encompasses the first principles of being, change, space, form, time, causality, necessity, and possibility.
Currently her works are mostly oil on upcypled canvas, paper, and timber. She also actively facilitates community art workshops.
