The full 2026 SALA Festival Program of exhibitions and events will be released on Wednesday 8 July.

Guided Bus tours

SALA organises bespoke artist-led bus tours to a range of visual art events in key regions of South Australia during the Festival.

SALA Barossa Valley Bus Tour

Hop aboard the Barossa Valley SALA tour for a day where art, wine and food come together in the most generous way.

Enjoy lunch at Peter Lehmann Wines,  listen to artist talks at JamFactory, visit regional galleries and finish your day off with your favourite drink at Ministry of Beer.

SALA South to Coast Bus Tour

Join this tour for the chance to chat with practicing artists in their studios, discover inspiring exhibitions, and take in the breath-taking scenery along the way.

Highlights include Stationmasters Art Gallery, an artist talk with Gerry Wedd at Signal Point, Scrapture Studio, James Stewart’s new gallery in Middleton and finishing off your day at the Jetty Food Store.

SALA Adelaide Hills Bus Tour

Discover the art of the Adelaide Hills on a curated SALA daytrip!

Enjoy a guided tour of the region’s standout SALA experiences, including a visit to Fabrik Arts & Heritage, lunch & an artist talk with Kate Brew at Nether Hill Farm, exploring the open studios in Balhannah, and more.

SALA Hahndorf to Kanmantoo Bus Tour

Escape the city for a day of art, stories, and local discoveries. Enjoy coffee at Britannia, Kanmantoo, visit Jurlique Farm for an exclusive tour, explore Hahndorf Academy for artist talks and discover Watermark Crossing Studio, finish the day with a relaxing wine tasting among the artworks at Hahndorf Hill Winery.

Our artist-led walking tours are a staple part of the festival, and a great entry-point if you’re not sure where to start!

Street Art Walking Tour

Join mural artist Lucinda Penn as you explore the murals and street art of Adelaide CBD. Lucinda will share her local knowledge as well as insights on mural painting techniques and considerations.

Fire Talks

Join artist and poet Dominic Guerrera for a Fire Talk diving deeply into the work of a First Nations artists as part of SALA Festival. Bookings essential. 

'Artist-Run Initiative' Walking Tour

Join Luna Chen, a local artist and long-term member of FELTspace, as she invites you to explore Adelaide’s artist-run initiatives.

Discover contemporary, experimental and emerging works, enjoy a fun day out, and connect with the artists behind the exhibitions.

Wander & Wonder Art Walking Tour

Join Filipina Australian visual artist Alyssa Powell-Ascura for a guided walking tour of art in the City of Adelaide.

Inspired by the Filipino concept of ‘gala’, which means to ‘roam’ or ‘wander’, you’ll discover artwork by culturally diverse artists who are taking part in this year’s SALA Festival.

SALA Up Late

SALA Up Late is your invitation to experience Port Adelaide after dark and soak up the atmosphere. Wander through the precinct with local artists as your guides and discover the creative hub of The Port.

If you’re looking for art, adventure, conversation, and a little after-dark mischief, SALA UP LATE is the perfect night out.

Self-Guided Tours

The Jarvis Škoda Regional Self-Guided Tours are a collection of pre-mapped SALA adventures that will show you to a range of exhibitions and events featuring the work of South Australian visual artists. All you need to do is nominate a driver, grab your coat, and head off on a daytrip to see some art!

We’re busy putting together the routes for 2026, including Adelaide Hills, Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, Encoutner Bay, Limestone Coast, and Loxton/Waikerie. Stay tuned!
