The SALA office is expanding – we are searching for a new Administration Assistant for 3 days a week until September 2017.

Administration Assistant, SALA (South Australian Living Artists) Festival

The South Australian Living Artists Festival is an innovative open access visual arts festival featuring thousands of artists in hundreds of exhibitions throughout metropolitan and regional South Australia. Since its inception in 1998 the annual SALA Festival has celebrated and promoted the diverse talents of South Australian Living Artists.

If you have experience working in visual arts, on a festival or major event and would like to be part of a small energetic team that delivers a high profile and much loved event this is your opportunity to shine.

The Administration Assistant is responsible to the General Manager, South Australian Living Artists Inc. for the administration functions of the SALA Festival.

The incumbent will work closely with the General Manager and Program Coordinator to achieve the objectives and goals of South Australian Living Artists Inc. This will include being the support contact for artists, venues, councils, web developers, donors, sponsors, media and liaising with various other stakeholders in the visual arts, state and local government departments and the business sector.

The successful applicant will have experience in a similar arts, festival or event role, demonstrate sound project coordination skills and excellent interpersonal skills including experience liaising with artists and sound computer literacy skills in MS Word, Excel and social media.

This role is being offered as a 5 month part-time (3 x days a week) employment contract.
